Vision
The school counseling program at Meadow Glen Elementary School encourages our students toward a limitless future to explore the world as caring, productive citizens in the competitive 21st century.
We believe:
Student achievement is maximized by participation in the MGES school counseling program that is managed and implemented by state certified school counselors.
All students’ cultural and racial backgrounds, as well as their developmental and academic special needs are considered when planning and implementing the MGES School Counseling Program.
The MGES school counselors are a part of a collective group of stakeholders including administrators, teachers, parents, and community leaders that share the responsibility for student learning and success.
The MGES School Counseling Program is based on specific goals and developmental student competencies that are determined by the American School Counselor Association , the State of South Carolina, and school specific data.
The MGES School Counseling Program will be evaluated on these stated goals and competencies by the counseling staff as well as school and district administration.
All school counselors will abide by the professional ethics and guidelines proposed by the American School Counselor Association.
